The incredible difference between the Old covenant of Law and the New covenant of grace is a mystery I will be writing about in my ensuing notes on Law vs. Grace Series, to throw light on God’s goodness towards people and the purpose of His new covenant. Many consider what separates the old covenant of law and the new covenant of grace is the blank page between the book of Malachi and Mathew. It sounds very funny, but you must understand it is one of the unknown mysteries in Christianity, which is hidden from the body of Christ, due to our emotional attachment to religious dogmas, wrong teachings, Church traditions that limits us from enjoying God’s best for our lives.

The law tells me how crooked I am. Grace comes along and straightens me out. – D.L. Moody

THE LAW IS IMPERSONAL: It shows our place of inability to access the thoughts and ways of God, to be able to walk in alignment with Him. The old covenant folks could not connect personally to the loving, prosperous, whole and Fatherly heart of God. Only, selected few were able to connect with God from time to time to show His intent

others. To the Old Covenant saint, the Lords say; “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8, 9 NKJV)

GRACE IS PERSONAL THROUGH THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT: Grace came to show the heart of the Father, that individually we may know the very thoughts of God. God’s thoughts are no higher than our thoughts because His Spirit lives on the inside of us permanently with the ability of the mind of Christ to know the mind of God. Hallelujah!!

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:10-12, 16 NKJV)

The New Covenant believer does not live a pointless and hassle life of walking into the unknown; trying to find fulfillment in life through human standards, which are practically based on self efforts and will power. Will power and self-dependence is a curse of the law, which always leads to catastrophe but a profitable life of purpose and direction is a fruit of the New Covenant through Christ….because of the capacity through the Holy Spirit, to download heavens thoughts in every situation to reign victoriously on earth, through Christ.

Beloved, my prayer for you today is that, you will not lean on your own understanding but be guided by the supernatural wisdom of God to effectively navigate through life effortlessly ====> 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJV)

“IT’S ONLY MEN THAT HAVE THE QUALITY LIFE THAT CAN GIVE YOU A QUALITY LIFE”

shopping-bags-101122-02In a world where total security and self-worth is justified by how many friends you can surround yourself with and the material wealth and fame you have. Our pressing desire for friends and material wealth to fill the vacuum in our lives has always hit rock bottom. We always find ourselves in a position to buy what we don’t need to impress on people to raise the level of our self worth and the evil tendency of finding ourselves in wrong company and wrong places at a wrong time is just a tip of the iceberg. They are all a façade and an illusion to the human quest for fulfillment. A new ride, a mansion and designer wear, a new class of people can change your status to size up with the best but I can bet you, in three to four months everything you have will lose its appeal and the cushion they give to you will be out-of-place with time. “Things” are temporal only God is eternal and when He is the center of what we have; what a great joy it brings”

People that come into our lives in God’s plan and purpose are to sharpen us to see the fullness of God in Christ and ponder that quality life of God to compliment our uniqueness in God but not to fulfill our emotional needs in and of themselves. Have you ever met a person thinking; “wow, this is a soul mate” “how cool s/he is and all that kind of stuff” and later when the layers of that person’s life begun to fall off, you realize s/he is not different from a demon? It is only men that have life that can give you life!

For instance, it is the responsibility of every husband to provide security, affection and love for their wives and family. Let me be realistic here, my friend…no man in and of themselves will be able to provide what they have not received from God, even in their utmost best. This means, man whether rich or poor will try in the best interest of their family to give out the best, but their best will not be enough to meet a woman’s emotional need daily. It is important that we shift our focus from man and look unto Jesus daily in our relationships, for Him to manifest Himself in their lives by faith that we may not be totally disappointed. The standards we set for mortal men who don’t have the quality of life or God or are living by that life are too high for any man to fulfill….the reason we see two people before the altar on friday and goes to the divorce court on Tuesday and all the I-can-helpinconsistencies in many relationships.

Don’t harbor bitterness against your partner or friends for their inability to meet your emotional expectations in all arena’s of your relationship. That kind of life will have an adverse effect on your destiny one way or the other and later be regretted for your high standards for a mortal man. Be thankful to God for his or her best life and trust the Lord to manifest in the dead areas of that person to compliment who you are in Christ. It is a defeated purpose to surround yourself with people who don’t have Christ life or the E-Life;  chose your friends carefully, don’t propose to a person because of his or her looks and later to be caged in a prison of despair… because his or her cuteness and sexiness will definitely become very familiar and can’t also serve a purpose that only God can.

Friend, the words of Jesus to instill peace and direction spoken over 2,000 years ago still echoes deeply to the very foundation of our society for us to hear and apply the truth of His word so that we would be freed from the chains of materialism which contains our soul to the neglect of a loving God; “And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man’s life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs”. (Luke 12:15 (AMP). Remember; “God is not against you having possessions; He is against possessions having you. Don’t forget He is called a Jealous God and wants no distractions in His relationship with you”. Christ must become the center of your material wealth and not the material wealth as the center of your life. Being anchored to sinking riches and mortal men is like building skyscrapers in sand, without a solid foundation to sustain the building for a longer time.

NOW WORD
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[A] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring. (Acts 17:28 NIV)
